In January we told you we were moving. Then we went quiet for eight months while we settled into the new space and rebuilt the website from the ground up. You asked for updates from the clinic, on our website or on your intake form, and you deserved better than silence. Here’s what changed, and what these notes will be from now on.
What changed at the clinic
The address. Since February we’re at 11555 Central Parkway, Suite 804, Jacksonville, FL 32224, in the Southside area. Hours are Monday 11 to 4 and Tuesday through Thursday 7 to 4.
The website. Every service page now posts its price, and every condition page says who it’s for and who it isn’t. If you’ve wondered what something costs, it’s on the page.
Reaching us. (904) 373-1661 works by call or text during clinic hours, and the team replies within one business day.
What these notes will be
Twice a month, on the first and third Tuesday. One question patients keep asking, explained the way I’d explain it in the room. What’s new here. The occasional offer, and only on our own services. Never medical advice about you, never anything about your care, and the unsubscribe link is at the bottom of every one.
Four pillars, and everything else sits on top of them
Patients ask me what to do first, usually while we’re waiting on labs to come back. The answer hasn’t changed in years and it isn’t complicated. There are four pillars, and almost everything else I might recommend sits on top of them.
The first is food. What I’m looking for is a plate with real vegetables on it, eliminating seed oils, and limiting grain in general. The second is sleep, which means eight hours a night and going to bed at a regular time.
The third is movement, at least five hours a week. What that looks like is up to your body, and if walking is what you’ve got, then walking is what counts. The fourth is the one people leave off the list entirely, and it’s meaningful relationships. Having a tribe. It belongs on the list with the other three.
None of this is the interesting part of medicine, and that’s rather the point. When someone comes in exhausted and we run the full panel, what the labs tell us still lands on top of these four. If one of them is missing, that’s where the plan has to start.
One thing to hold onto
Patients tell me all the time: how am I supposed to do this for the rest of my life? You’re not. You’re deciding to do it today. Life moves one day at a time.
You are on the list.
