Trained where prevention fails.
Catherine spent six years as a registered nurse in the Medical ICU at the Roudebush VA, caring for the sickest patients in acute medicine. An ICU is where the consequences of untreated causes finally land: the heart failure with a twenty-year runway, the kidneys that declined for a decade before anyone called it a crisis. That experience does not leave you.
Nurse practitioner training followed, with board certifications through both national certifying bodies, the ANCC and the AANP, and then post-graduate certification in functional medicine. She has practiced as a nurse practitioner for more than ten years, a decade of it in functional medicine, in the visits where the trajectories she watched end in the ICU are still changeable.
She founded Healing Advanced Solutions in 2022 and remains its only licensed provider. The practice has cared for more than 1,000 patients across functional medicine, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, and IV therapy, growing mostly by referral. Patients call her Cat.
How she practices.
Initial functional medicine evaluations run 75 minutes, and Catherine personally conducts every patient's first appointment. Intake is never delegated.
Plans are built from labs and history, not templates. Testing comes before treating, at every step of care.
She is not a primary care physician and does not replace yours. The practice works alongside your PCP, handling the root-cause layer most schedules leave no time for.
What she works on.

The "medically reviewed" bylines across this site point here. Catherine reviews the clinical content on this site for accuracy and fair framing before it is published. How that works, including our sourcing and correction standards, is described in our editorial policy.
