For when normal isn’t working.
Healing Advanced Solutions provides functional and integrative medicine in Jacksonville, FL, led by Catherine Seidle, APRN, starting with a 75-minute evaluation and comprehensive lab testing.
You’ve been told your labs are fine. You don’t feel fine.
You’re tired of seven-minute visits that end in another prescription. You want someone to look at the whole picture, not one symptom at a time.
That is exactly the patient this practice was built for.
One body. Everything connects.
Symptoms rarely stay in one system. The evaluation looks across all of them.
Thyroid & metabolism
Fatigue, weight changes, and feeling cold can all trace back here, and thyroid function is shaped by stress, nutrients, and inflammation elsewhere in the body.
In the evaluation: a full thyroid panel, read against functional ranges, not just TSH.
Gut & digestion
Your gut affects far more than digestion. It influences immunity, mood, skin, and how well you absorb the nutrients everything else depends on.
In the evaluation: your history and labs are screened for digestion, absorption, and inflammation patterns.
Hormones
Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone work as a network with sleep, mood, weight, and energy. When one hormone shifts, it can pull the others with it.
In the evaluation: hormone testing is matched to your symptoms and your stage of life.
Stress & adrenals
Long stretches of stress change cortisol patterns, which affects sleep, cravings, blood sugar, and how you recover.
In the evaluation: we map stress patterns and, when indicated, test cortisol rhythm.
Blood sugar & metabolic health
Insulin resistance builds quietly for years before labs flag it. It affects weight, energy, hormones, cholesterol, and blood pressure, and it raises long-term health risks across nearly every system.
In the evaluation: A1c and metabolic markers are read against functional ranges, so early patterns show up early.
Immune & inflammation
Your immune system and inflammation levels influence joints, energy, skin, digestion, and mood. We look for what is keeping inflammation switched on, so the plan can address it at the source.
In the evaluation: inflammatory markers are part of the baseline, and the pattern matters as much as any single value.
Your care, mapped.
It starts with a free 10 to 15 minute call. If functional medicine fits, here is exactly what the first months look like.
Segments show what happens, in order. Time per segment varies by patient.
The initial evaluation is $300 and includes the week-one protocol visit. Comprehensive lab work is a separate lab fee: our Comprehensive Panel is $250. Care is cash-pay and transparent: HSA and FSA eligible, itemized receipt on request, financing available through Affirm. Want exact numbers for your situation first? Contact us and we will walk you through it, or start with the free consultation.
*The mean U.S. primary care exam runs about 18 minutes, measured from electronic health record timestamps across more than 21 million visits (Neprash et al., Medical Care, 2021).
- Day 1
The 75-minute evaluation
Health history, symptoms and goals, prior labs, and new testing ordered only when it changes decisions. You complete a symptom map before the visit and leave with quick-start steps the same day.
- Week 1
Your protocol visit
Labs reviewed one-on-one against functional ranges (the values where patients feel well, not just the population average), and you receive your full plan. Included in the initial evaluation, no separate charge.
- Week 5
Retest
We re-run the labs that matter, so progress is measured, not guessed.
- Week 6
Results, side by side
A repeat health assessment plus your new labs, so you see symptom change and lab change together. The plan updates from there.
- Ongoing
A six-week rhythm
Follow-ups roughly every six weeks while we work toward your goals, then maintenance visits every three to six months once you are there.
How this compares with a standard visit.
The trade: no insurance billing, and in exchange, time and testing your plan doesn’t cover. HSA and FSA eligible, itemized receipt on request, Affirm available.
Every evaluation is with Catherine Seidle, APRN.
She spent six years as a registered nurse in the Medical ICU at the Roudebush VA before practicing as a nurse practitioner for more than ten years. She moved into functional medicine to treat the root causes of what she saw there.
Serving Jacksonville, St. Johns, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, and Mandarin.
What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine is an approach that looks for the underlying causes of symptoms instead of only managing them. In practice that means longer visits, broader lab testing, and a plan that addresses why something is happening, from nutrition and hormones to gut health and inflammation.
Is a functional medicine practitioner a doctor?
Some are physicians, others are nurse practitioners or physician assistants with advanced training. At Healing Advanced Solutions your provider is Catherine Seidle, APRN, a nurse practitioner. She spent six years as a registered nurse in the Medical ICU at the Roudebush VA before practicing as a nurse practitioner for more than ten years, a decade of it in functional medicine. She personally conducts every functional medicine evaluation.
Is functional medicine legitimate?
The tools are the same ones conventional medicine uses, including lab work, physical assessment, prescriptions where appropriate, and peer-reviewed research. What differs is how they are used. Visits are longer, testing is broader and read against functional ranges as well as standard ones, a structured health assessment covers your full history and symptoms, and those symptoms are re-scored over time so the plan adjusts from results, not guesses.
What are the criticisms of functional medicine?
Three come up most often. It costs more out of pocket, because insurance does not pay for hour-long visits. Practitioner quality varies widely, so credentials and prescriptive authority are worth checking anywhere you go. And some practitioners over-order labs they have no treatment plan for, and a lab you cannot act on is a wasted lab. We order against your history and symptoms, and only when a result would change a decision.
Is functional medicine covered by insurance?
We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance. Visits are HSA and FSA eligible, we provide an itemized receipt on request, and financing is available through Affirm. Many patients find the longer visits and deeper testing worth the difference.
What happens during the 75-minute evaluation?
Catherine reviews your full history from birth to present, your symptoms, and any prior lab work, then orders comprehensive testing matched to you. You leave with a clear picture of what we are looking for and why. Results are reviewed with you one-on-one at a follow-up visit.
What does functional medicine cost?
Pricing is transparent and cash-pay. The free consultation costs nothing and is the right place to start. We will walk you through evaluation and follow-up pricing for your situation before you commit to anything.
