Ketamine therapy, with a provider in the room.
Healing Advanced Solutions offers oral ketamine therapy in Jacksonville, FL for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD, with dedicated screening and every session guided in office by Catherine Seidle, APRN.
Ketamine is a powerful tool, and it is not for everyone. Treatment starts with its own dedicated intake and screening. If it is right for you, sessions are dosed carefully and guided in office. If it is not, we help you find what fits.
An established medicine, used carefully.
What is proven, and what is still emerging.
Ketamine has been used in medicine for decades as an FDA-approved anesthetic. At lower doses, taken orally in a controlled clinical setting, it is used off-label for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Off-label means the FDA has approved ketamine as an anesthetic, but not specifically for these uses.
Research on ketamine for depression, anxiety, and PTSD is active and promising, and individual responses vary. That is why treatment starts with screening rather than a promise.
Screening first. Guidance always.
The process is the safety system.
- Screening first. Ketamine therapy has its own intake process, separate from our standard functional medicine evaluation. We review your health history, current medications, and psychiatric history before any treatment is scheduled.
- Catherine administers every session. Treatment is oral ketamine, taken in office, and Catherine is in the room with you for the full session. She can guide the experience or help you settle into your own reflection, whichever serves you that day.
- Dosing is patient-specific. Your dose is set for you and reviewed as treatment progresses. Most published protocols recommend an initial series of about six sessions over four to six weeks, spaced roughly a week apart, and we adjust that plan to you.
- Supplementary, not a replacement. Ketamine therapy here works alongside care from your therapist, psychiatrist, or primary provider, and with your permission we coordinate with them.
What a visit looks like.
Knowing exactly what a session looks like is part of the care.
Sessions run about an hour to an hour and a half in a calm, quiet room set up for comfort. You take your prescribed dose and Catherine stays with you throughout. We recommend doing the session itself individually, and someone is welcome to come with you to drive you home afterward.
Afterward, plan an easy rest of your day: no driving until the next day, no alcohol, and a quiet evening. Many people find it helpful to write down what came up while it is fresh. We walk you through all of this before your first session.
Who this may be a fit for: people who have tried standard treatment without adequate relief, and people who want a provider-supervised option rather than going it alone. The consultation exists to answer the fit question, in either direction.
Ketamine therapy is not crisis care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to the nearest emergency room.
Ketamine therapy pricing is discussed at your consultation, after screening, when we know what your treatment would actually involve.
Is ketamine FDA approved?
As an anesthetic, yes, for decades. Its use for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD is off-label, which is legal and common in medicine, and we explain exactly what that means at your consultation.
What does a session actually look like?
You take the prescribed oral dose in a calm, quiet room and stay with us for about an hour to an hour and a half. Catherine is in the room the whole time. She can guide the session or simply help you settle into your own reflection, whichever serves you.
Will it work for me?
No provider can promise that. Responses vary from person to person. Screening tells us whether it is reasonable to try, and monitoring tells us whether it is helping.
How many sessions will I need?
Most published protocols recommend an initial series of about six sessions over four to six weeks, spaced roughly a week apart. Your dose and your plan are set to you and reviewed as treatment progresses.
Do I stop seeing my therapist or psychiatrist?
No. Ketamine therapy here is supplementary care, not a replacement, and with your permission we coordinate with your existing providers.
Can I drive home after a session?
No, not until the next day. Someone is welcome to come with you and drive you home afterward.
Is this covered by insurance?
We are a cash-pay practice. You receive an itemized receipt on request, and payment is HSA and FSA eligible.
