What is TB-500?
TB-500 is a short synthetic peptide taken from the active region of thymosin beta-4, a protein found in almost every human cell that helps cells move into an injury. It is made in a laboratory and is most often used alongside BPC-157, a pairing known as the Wolverine stack. Here it is prescribed as a take-home vial you inject under the skin, after a free consultation and a review of your history.
TB-500 benefits and uses.
-
Soft tissue and tendon repair
Animal studies of tendon and soft tissue healing have reported results consistent with its action on cell movement.
-
Wound healing
Studied in animal models of wound healing. Its full-length parent protein, thymosin beta-4, has been tested in people for leg ulcers and dry eye.
-
Training recovery
Popular with active adults for recovery from hard training, a use not yet tested in trials.
-
Paired with BPC-157
The Wolverine stack: two repair peptides with different proposed actions, combined on the reasoning that they complement each other.
- 7amino acids, the actin-binding core of thymosin beta-4
- 43amino acids in the full parent protein found in almost every cell
- Every vialcomes with its own certificate of analysis
How does TB-500 work?
Thymosin beta-4 helps cells move by binding actin, the protein that forms the scaffolding inside cells. Cell movement is part of how tissue repairs: new cells have to migrate into an injury, and new blood vessels have to grow toward it. TB-500 contains the part of the protein that binds actin, which is why it was studied as a candidate for tissue repair. Whether the fragment behaves like the full protein in people has not been established.
What does the research on TB-500 show?
- Animal study
In animal models of tendon and soft tissue healing, results have been consistent with TB-500's proposed action on cell movement. Bicer 2026, rat tendon
- Human study
Its full-length parent protein, thymosin beta-4, was tested in a phase 2 randomized trial of eye drops for dry eye. Sosne 2015
- Human study
Full-length thymosin beta-4 has also been studied in people with venous leg ulcers. Guarnera 2007
- Human study
A phase 1 study in healthy volunteers found intravenous thymosin beta-4 well tolerated. Ruff 2010
TB-500 side effects and safety.
- FDA found no human exposure data for TB-500 itself in its 2026 review.
- The human trials on record used the full-length parent protein, a different and much larger molecule.
- FDA's stated concerns are a possible immune reaction and impurities from manufacturing; every vial here comes with a certificate of analysis.
Because human data for the fragment itself are absent, TB-500 is prescribed only after Catherine Seidle, APRN reviews your history, and your follow-up checks how you are responding.

Common questions.
What is TB-500?
TB-500 is a short synthetic peptide taken from thymosin beta-4, a repair protein found in almost every human cell. It is most often used with BPC-157.
What does TB-500 do?
Its proposed action is helping cells move into an injury, which is part of how tissue repairs. In animal models of tendon and soft tissue healing, results have been consistent with that action. It has not been tested in people as a fragment.
What is TB-500 used for?
People use it for tendon and soft tissue injuries, wound healing, and recovery from training, often alongside BPC-157.
Is TB-500 safe?
Human safety data for TB-500 itself do not exist yet: FDA found no human exposure data for the fragment in 2026. Its stated concerns are an immune reaction and manufacturing impurities, which is why every vial here comes with a certificate of analysis.
Is TB-500 FDA approved?
No. It has never been approved. In July 2026 an FDA advisory committee voted to recommend adding it to the list of substances pharmacies may compound, and FDA has not issued a final rule.
How is TB-500 taken?
It is a small injection under the skin. Your dose and schedule are set by Catherine Seidle, APRN at your visit.
How much does TB-500 cost?
A take-home vial is $180, and it includes the bacteriostatic water and syringes. The consultation is free, and any visit or labs your plan needs are quoted before you start.
Can you take TB-500 and BPC-157 together?
Yes, they are often combined, a pairing known as the Wolverine stack. Both are studied mainly in animals for tissue repair, through different proposed actions. Whether one, the other, or both fits is decided at your consultation.
